Fruit Wines of Canada is a national association of producers that have established the first set of national standards outlining production and labeling requirements for fruit wines. Modeled after the successful VQA system for Canadian table wines, the Quality Certified program helps identify Canadian fruit wines that make a quality statement.
In essence, this is a winery's promise to the consumer that a fruit wine bearing the QC seal:

is produced from 100% Canadian fruit or juice.

contains the fruit species stated on the label

contains no artificial flavourings

has passed a quality screening by trained sensory evaluation technicians
The QC standards will experience further development in years ahead as
an improved understanding of fruit characteristics and growing areas is
advanced.
